About Fine Aire™
FineAire™ is the most natural, cost effective, and comfortable air cooling system available for new homes and businesses -It's proven.
Indoor air we rely on to provide a healthy and comfortable environment for our families has diminished over the past 40 years because of the building materials used and the necessary trend towards energy efficient homes and businesses. Structures are made tighter with more insulation in an effort to reduce infiltration of cold air and heat loss (winter condition) and hot air and heat gain (summer condition). We would think that our homes and workspace would provide a healthy environment. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. Allergies and asthmatic symptoms are on the rise. Synthetic materials including pressed wood in the flooring and walls, paneling, carpeting, linoleum, paint, curtains, all give off gases or microscopic particles and fibers as they age. The resulting stale trapped air or the humidity (to high and to low) speeds up deterioration resulting in air borne chemicals and particles that can cause respiratory and other health problems.
There are two methods of cooling a home or business marketed in western North America. One is vapor compression that can release ozone layer depleting compounds and the second is water evaporation that uses large amounts of water and airflow to create a cooling effect. Vapor compression (heat pumps and standard air conditioning) re- circulates stale air in homes and creates low humidity (15-35% relative humidity) and evaporation "wet" cooling creates high humidity (75-95%). Current systems that rely on wet cooling are either the traditional evaporative coolers (swamp coolers) or newer two-stage indirect/direct air coolers (IDACs). IDAC systems have been marketed for several years with limited success because of the limitation of the indirect stage.
The first (indirect) stage relies on a heat exchanger to create "dry" evaporative cooling meaning that no water is added directly to the air being cooled. In the second (direct) stage water is added directly into the air being cooled achieving additional evaporative cooling. Manufacturers are limited to ineffective indirect stage heat exchangers thereby relying on the direct stage for the majority of the cooling effect (greater than 80% by adding moisture directly to the supply air). Manufacturers typically heavily saturate a cellulose pad with water for the direct stage. The result is nearly the same high humidity air entering the home as experienced from traditional evaporative coolers.
FineAire™ is an IDAC that incorporates CorCootl™ which is the most effective indirect heat exchanger available. This patent pending technology developed by JENRUS CORP provides 60% -80% of the sensible cooling without adding moisture to the air More comfortable.
While other indirect heat exchangers drop the incoming outdoor air temperature 6-8 degrees, CorCool™ will drop the incoming outdoor temperature 18-22 degrees when installed in a fineAire™. With CorCool™, the system uses about half the water as other IDAC systems. Moisture is only added to the direct section for additional cooling during peak temperature periods or to maintain indoor relative humidity between 40- 70%, which is the healthiest condition for humans, pets, and most indoor plants
